Newmarket RMT Donates Massage Services to Raise Money for Cancer Care

Registered Massage Therapist, Anita Verigin, will Sponsor the 21st Annual York Region Police Association’s Golf Tournament to Commemorate Officers Lost in the Line of Duty.
Newmarket, Ontario – Anita Verigin, a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT), has been invited to donate massage services and golf prizes to assist the York Region Police Association (YRPA) in reaching their sponsorship goals for their Annual Charity Golf Tournament to benefit the Southlake Regional Cancer Centre.
Taking place at Silver Lakes Golf and Country Club on June 8, the YRPA is contacting local businesses to sponsor their Annual charity event. Scheduled as a shotgun start at 9:30am, golfers will be provided with lunch on the course, a round of golf and a dinner hosted by the YRPA at the main office where they will receive their gifts and prizes and take part in the annual silent auction. Verigin will provide massage services before and during the round of golf.
“I’m truly honored to be invited to help bring support and awareness to this great cause,” says Verigin. “Many of my clients’ lives have been touched by cancer and this is a great way for me to show my support and give back to the community that has welcomed me and my business. The YRPA has been contributing to the community for the last 21 years and I’m very happy to be a part of it this year.”
Verigin’s donation, along with the donations of organizations such as the Toronto Marlies, the Toronto Rock, General Mills Canada, Lakeridge Links, the Briars Club, Pheasant Run Golf Club, Just Drums, Knappett Jewelers, and Styles of Creation, will help to raise awareness and encourage others within the community to raise funds to assist Southlake in providing cancer care for its patients.
Keith Aubrey, Vice President of YRPA, notes, “It’s to remember those men who have given their life in the line of duty. We have been doing this tournament for 21 years now and each year we choose a different charity within York Region. This year the charity is the Regional Cancer Centre at Southlake Hospital and it is a great cause that has touched many of us.”
